The areas for evaluation constitute the major aspects of the school's work. They reflect the areas identified as being key to the future development of education in South Africa. The main function of the evaluators is to report on the quality of provision in these areas and any other that the school may consider relevant, and make recommendations on how it might be improved. The function of the professional support teams in Districts is to help schools carry out the recommendations of the evaluators and support schools in making improvements.
