Quality Improvement Through Innovation Strategy PDF Print E-mail

Rationale

The Directorate: Quality Assurance (D:QA) developed this strategy with the aim of: (a) further advocating the strategic vision and objectives of the D:QA through more innovative means, viz. DVD and web-based communication, which will improve the quantity and quality of information provided; (b) establishing a central portal of information via the website; (c) delivering web-based induction and training to D:QA officials; and (d) capacitating and up-skilling the D:QA fieldworkers as a means of improving the overall quality of the reporting process (e) improving seamless information sharing between the Directorate: Knowledge Management and the Directorate: Quality Assurance, thereby further entrenching the role of the Chief Directorate:  Management and Record Information and Quality Assurance as the data reservoir of the WCED.

 

 

Outputs of the Strategy are:

  1. Website as central portal of information and up-skilling platform.
  2. A training and advocacy DVD.
  3. A toolkit of Information and Communication Tools for D:QA personnel.
  4. An up-skilling training programme for D:QA personnel.
  5. Development and renewal of printed educational and advocacy materials.

 

The roll-out of this strategy will take place from the 06 October till 31 March 2010.
